Dr. Stephen Newman
Dr. Newman's patients appreciate the care they
receive and feel they have found a doctor who can
answer their questions and give them appropriate
advice about their eyes. By taking heart rate and
blood pressure measurements on all patients, followed
by a digital retinal photo, Dr. Newman can demonstrate to his patients
the presence or absence of disease. His test
results are a valuable tool in pointing out possible early warning signs
of diabetes, high blood pressure, increased cholesterol
levels, as well as numerous other diseases.
Practicing nutritional optometry has been extremely
rewarding on many levels for Dr. Newman.
Unlike a large majority of allopathic doctors (MD),
he is best known for the "one on one"
care he gives to his patients, taking the time to
discuss issues that are of importance. .
Dr. Newman has authored
a diet and lifestyle book, FOCUS, soon to be published
and is the co-producer and CEO of Visual Development,
Inc. best known for the BabyEyes DVD series to
help infants develop their vision which may assist in promoting intellectual
development at an early age. A detailed description of the latter
can be found at www.babyeyesdvd.com.
